In April 2021 the MEN News revealed (original story here) that the old Police House on Wilmslow Road, sat right in the heart of Didsbury, had finally been granted a new lease of life as it was being converted into six luxury apartments.

Julian Wadden has been lucky enough to be invited on site to take a look at how the development is shaping up, and it is great to see the original building being treated with the respect it deserves, especially after a long period of vacancy and issues with squatters.

Wasil Hussain of HUS Property Developments gave us a tour of the site and walked us through the different apartment styles, including the incredible ground floor garden flats, the first floor apartments with sun terrace and top floor properties with balcony access. All of the flats will be two-bedroom and two-bathroom and we cannot wait to see the impressive vision that the team have for the communal entrance.

Efforts have been made to keep as many of the original features as possible, especially externally where Victorian style lighting and fencing will be the finishing touches.

Most people would expect these incredible apartments to come to the sales market, but speaking to Wasil he has confirmed that the development is something that they have taken great pride in, and are looking to keep in the family for years to come.

Therefore those six apartments are going to shortly be coming to the rental market, with pricing to be confirmed, and we for one cannot wait to see the finished article.
