Under current Government proposals the legislation surrounding minimum EPC ratings is set to change in 2025.

Currently the minimum rating for any tenanted property is an “E”, however this is set to increase to a “C”. We are already having conversations with a number of buy-to-let investors who are taking this into consideration when arranging viewings for potential investment properties.

To help with this transition the TDS (Tenancy Deposit Scheme) have issued guidance, tips and general information over how we can prepare for this change. I thought this would be helpful for those of you with current portfolios properties, and also those of you searching for new investments.
